Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market trends to assess borrower risk
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for loan approval committees
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with sales teams to structure credit solutions aligned with client needs
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and internal credit policies
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and financial institutions
- Utilize credit scoring models and financial analysis software for decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- 3+ years of credit analysis or underwriting experience
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools (Excel, Moody's Analytics, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, credit regulations, and lending standards
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication and presentation abilities
- Experience with commercial and consumer credit portfolios
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB, etc.) preferred
