Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market trends to assess borrower risk profiles
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for loan approval committees
- Monitor existing credit portfolios and identify early warning signs of financial distress
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banking partners and credit agencies
- Contribute to process improvements in credit underwriting workflows
- Present complex financial findings to stakeholders through clear visual reports
- Stay current on regulatory changes affecting credit analysis practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of credit analysis or underwriting experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software
- Credit Risk Management (CRM) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification preferred
- Deep understanding of cash flow analysis, leverage ratios, and industry benchmarks
- Exceptional attention to detail and quantitative reasoning skills
- Strong written communication for documenting credit decisions
- Experience with commercial lending in the Bay Area market
