Job Overview:
In this pivotal role, you will evaluate the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients. You will assess financial health, analyze market trends, and make data-driven decisions that safeguard our company's financial interests while fostering business growth.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow projections to determine borrower risk profiles.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models and rating systems for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and presentations for the underwriting committee review.
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify early warning signs of default or delinquency.
- Collaborate with the loan origination team to structure credit facilities that align with client needs.
- Ensure strict compliance with all internal credit policies and regulatory requirements.
- Regularly update client credit files and maintain the central credit database.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial risk assessment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Deep knowledge of banking regulations and credit risk management principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings to senior management.
