Responsibilities
- Analyze credit applications for commercial and consumer loan portfolios, assessing risk and creditworthiness.
- Review financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to make informed lending decisions.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models to improve portfolio quality.
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to resolve complex credit issues.
- Monitor delinquency rates and recommend strategies for recovery.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and risk assessments for senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or commercial banking.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and credit analysis software.
- Deep understanding of banking regulations, compliance, and risk management principles.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
