Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive credit risk assessments on new and existing loan applicants, including reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models to predict borrower default risk accurately.
- Prepare and present detailed credit memos and recommendations to the credit committee.
- Monitor the performance of the loan portfolio and identify early warning signs of deterioration.
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to ensure consistency in credit decision-making processes.
- Ensure all credit analysis activities comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions and financial software to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or financial underwriting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is highly preferred.
- Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
