Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive credit risk assessments for commercial and individual clients using financial statements, credit reports, and industry benchmarks
- Prepare detailed credit analysis reports with clear recommendations for loan approvals, modifications, or rejections
- Monitor existing credit portfolios for potential risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with sales teams to structure credit solutions that meet client needs while minimizing exposure
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations (Regulation B, Fair Credit Reporting Act) and internal credit policies
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Stay current on economic trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes affecting credit decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (MBA/CFA preferred)
- 3+ years of credit analysis or commercial underwriting experience
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling software and Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, scenario analysis)
- Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and debt service coverage ratios
- Proven ability to interpret complex financial data and make sound credit decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Experience with credit scoring models and risk assessment frameworks
