Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market data to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and risk assessments for commercial loan applications
- Monitor existing credit portfolios and identify potential risks or delinquencies
- Collaborate with lending teams to structure optimal credit terms and conditions
- Stay current on regulatory compliance (FICO, GAAP, banking regulations)
- Present findings to credit committees with clear, actionable recommendations
- Maintain accurate documentation of all credit analysis activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
- 3+ years of commercial credit analysis or underwriting experience
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Credit reporting software expertise (e.g., Moody's, Equifax, or similar)
- Strong understanding of cash flow analysis and debt service coverage ratios
- Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB) preferred
