Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of loan applications, financial statements, and credit reports.
- Evaluate borrower capacity, character, and capital to determine credit risk.
- Prepare and present credit memos and recommendations to the Credit Committee.
- Monitor existing portfolio performance and identify early warning signs of default.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit files in our core banking system.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and underwriting guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or a related financial role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, FICO).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
