Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations, including banking laws and financial standards.
- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including compliance reports and regulatory filings.
- Train staff and management on new compliance regulations and internal protocols.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth inspection processes.
- Investigate and resolve any compliance violations or suspicious activities immediately.
- Stay updated on changes in legislation to ensure the organization remains compliant.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a compliance, risk management, or auditing role.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal financial regulations (e.g., OCC, FDIC, or state banking laws).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting to senior leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Professional certification (e.g., CAM, CRCM) is a plus.
