Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate the organization's adherence to federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances.
- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps.
- Develop, implement, and update compliance policies and procedures to align with industry best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to staff regarding regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
- Investigate internal complaints and report potential violations to senior management or regulatory bodies.
- Prepare detailed compliance reports and maintain accurate records for regulatory filings.
- Stay abreast of changes in legislation relevant to the industry.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compliance, auditing, or risk management.
- Strong understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., Gaming Regulations, Financial Compliance, or Healthcare laws).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Certified Compliance Officer (CCO) or equivalent certification preferred.
