As a Compliance Officer, you will act as the guardian of our operational integrity, ensuring that our fleet, machinery, and facilities adhere to the highest safety standards while maintaining strict regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular, rigorous audits of heavy machinery and equipment to ensure full compliance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations.
- Manage and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation for all equipment, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and safety certifications.
- Coordinate with site managers and operations teams to implement effective corrective action plans for identified compliance gaps.
- Train and mentor staff on proper equipment handling, safety protocols, and regulatory updates.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend long-term preventive measures.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the company remains ahead of compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in compliance, safety, or industrial logistics.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) designation is a major plus.
- Strong, practical knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding heavy equipment operation and hazardous materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance management software.
