Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate changes in local, state, and federal compliance laws to ensure our business practices remain within legal boundaries.
- Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Develop, implement, and update compliance policies and procedures to mitigate risk.
- Provide training and guidance to staff members on regulatory requirements and internal compliance protocols.
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues or violations identified during audits.
- Prepare detailed reports for executive leadership regarding compliance status and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and external auditors as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or auditing.
- Strong knowledge of California state regulations and relevant industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional certification (e.g., CCP, CAM) is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
