Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure adherence to federal, state, and industry regulations (including AML, KYC, and consumer protection laws)
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective compliance programs and internal controls
- Conduct regular risk assessments and internal audits to identify compliance gaps
- Provide comprehensive compliance training and guidance to all departments
- Investigate and resolve regulatory inquiries, complaints, and audit findings
- Stay current with evolving regulatory landscape and advise on necessary policy updates
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior leadership and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of compliance experience in financial services or regulated industry
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (FFIEC, BSA, SEC, FINRA)
- Professional certification (CRCM, CAMS, CCEP) highly desirable
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to interpret complex regulations and implement practical solutions
- Excellent communication skills with ability to train diverse audiences
- Experience with compliance management software and reporting tools
