Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all invoices are paid and payments are collected promptly.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit and loss reports and balance sheets.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax filings as needed.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and filing systems.
- Conduct month-end and year-end close procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Understanding of GAAP and basic tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
