Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Accurately record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure data accuracy.
- Payroll Support: Assist in processing payroll, ensuring employees are paid on time with weekly pay cycles.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
- Compliance: Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Expense Management: Review and process expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to track and manage financial data.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot discrepancies and maintain high data integrity.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and team interactions.
