Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile monthly bank statements
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll for 15+ clients
- Prepare financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow)
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance documentation
- Implement and maintain bookkeeping software systems (QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred)
- Conduct periodic audits and internal control evaluations
- Generate monthly financial reports for client review
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Maryland tax regulations and GAAP principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
