Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Monitor and maintain the general ledger system, ensuring all entries are correct.
- Assist external auditors during annual audits as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is mandatory.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and federal/state tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
