About the Role
As a Bookkeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of our clients. You will manage day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations. We are looking for a candidate who is organized, efficient, and eager to make a tangible impact.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll processing and tax filings.
- Reconcile credit card statements and vendor invoices.
- Assist with year-end audits and financial close procedures.
- Utilize accounting software to track expenses and generate financial statements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
