Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and generate monthly financial reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes and tax preparation support.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and company policies.
- Perform general ledger accounting duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role (2+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
