Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and perform month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and operational reports for management review.
- Process payroll accurately and ensure timely distribution.
- Assist with tax preparation and audit documentation as required.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to track financial data.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Pro/Online, Xero) and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
