Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and prepare monthly financial statements to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Maintain and update the general ledger system, including journal entries and adjusting entries.
- Reconcile credit card statements and monitor cash flow.
- Support the tax preparation process by gathering necessary financial documentation.
- Assist in the onboarding of new clients and maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks or Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) is required.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and discrepancies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
