Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and ensure accurate collection of accounts receivable.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure cash balances are accurate and discrepancies are resolved.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll data and ensure tax filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Bookkeeping Systems: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to manage financial data efficiently.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions comply with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; equivalent work experience is acceptable.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and other accounting software.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
