Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Financial Records: Accurately record daily transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all entries are timely and precise.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure account balances are accurate and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and generate monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss reports, for management review.
- Payroll Administration: Assist with payroll processing, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and managing employee time-off requests.
- Tax Support: Collaborate with external accountants to prepare and file quarterly and annual tax documents.
- System Maintenance: Maintain and update accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and ensure data integrity.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online or Xero; intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot discrepancies and maintain high accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
- Integrity: High ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
