As a key member of our finance department, you'll work closely with CFOs and small business owners to ensure financial health and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage vendor/client communications
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow) for client review
- Implement and maintain internal controls for financial processes
- Assist with month-end/year-end closing procedures and audits
- Utilize QuickBooks Online and Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure compliance with CA tax regulations
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online proficiency
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and California tax requirements
- Advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, macros)
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional communication skills for client interactions
