As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our financial operations run smoothly, accurately, and efficiently. You will work closely with our operations and compliance teams to maintain high standards of financial integrity.
Responsibilities
- Process and post invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Verify and update patient and client insurance information and billing eligibility.
- Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable and delinquent payments.
- Generate, review, and analyze monthly billing reports for management.
- Assist in the month-end closing process and financial reconciliation.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and answer inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for process improvement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or medical billing.
- Proficiency in billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AdvancedMD) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT) and insurance terminology.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-service oriented mindset.
