Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing cycles for 500+ patient accounts using Epic EMR systems
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies and insurance claim denials within 48 hours
- Process daily A/R reconciliation and month-end closing procedures
- Collaborate with insurance providers to verify coverage and negotiate payment terms
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and Medicaid billing regulations
- Train staff on billing processes using proprietary workflow software
- Generate financial reports for executive leadership review
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration or accounting (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in multi-specialty practice
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or equivalent certification required
- Expert proficiency in Epic EMR and NextGen billing platforms
- Advanced knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
