Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end medical billing processes including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient inquiries with exceptional customer service
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and insurance payer regulations
- Analyze aging reports and implement strategies to reduce accounts receivable days
- Collaborate with coding and clinical teams to ensure accurate documentation
- Generate monthly billing performance reports for leadership review
- Train staff on billing system updates and process improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar EHR systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot table and VLOOKUP capabilities
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
