Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end revenue cycle management including charge entry, claim submission, and AR follow-up
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific billing regulations
- Resolve billing discrepancies through insurance verification and patient account reconciliation
- Generate monthly financial reports and KPI dashboards for leadership review
- Train staff on billing system updates and process improvements
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate documentation and coding
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration, accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Certification in medical billing (CPC, CMA, or RHIA) required
- Expertise in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding protocols
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and billing software (e.g., Athena, Medisoft)
- Proven ability to manage high-volume claim processing with <2% denial rate
- Strong analytical skills for identifying process inefficiencies
