Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 99% accuracy
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient account inquiries within 24 hours
- Reconcile daily batches and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document charges correctly
- Generate monthly reports for revenue analysis
- Manage denial workflows and appeals documentation
- Train staff on billing system updates (Epic preferred)
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a hospital setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10 coding and CMS-1500 forms
- Advanced proficiency in Epic Resolute or similar EMR systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with third-party payer negotiations
- BA/BS in Healthcare Administration or Finance preferred
