Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 99% accuracy within established deadlines
- Resolve billing discrepancies through direct communication with insurance providers and patients
- Generate monthly revenue reports and analyze aging accounts for optimization opportunities
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and private payer regulations
- Utilize Epic EHR system for charge entry and payment posting
- Train staff on billing processes and policy updates
- Collaborate with collections team on high-balance accounts
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and practice management software
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
