Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 95%+ accuracy across multiple payers
- Manage patient billing inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies within 24 hours
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing documentation and communications
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports and identify aging balances
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify coding accuracy and documentation
- Analyze denial trends and implement corrective actions
- Maintain electronic health record (EHR) billing modules
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with CPT/ICD-10 coding certification
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payer regulations
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot table creation
- Excellent verbal communication skills for patient interactions
- Ability to prioritize tasks in high-volume workflows
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field
