Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end medical billing processes including claim submission, payment posting, and account reconciliation
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient inquiries with exceptional communication skills
- Analyze aging reports to accelerate cash flow and reduce outstanding receivables
- Collaborate with insurance providers to verify coverage and resolve claim denials
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and California billing regulations
- Utilize Epic and NextGen EHR systems for accurate charge capture
- Train staff on billing protocols and process improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a Fresno healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or equivalent credential required
- Expertise in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Advanced proficiency in Epic and NextGen EHR platforms
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Ability to manage high-volume accounts with competing deadlines
- Experience with Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement processes
