Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes including invoice generation, submission, and reconciliation
- Resolve billing discrepancies and account receivables through proactive client communication
- Analyze payment trends to identify process improvements and reduce DSO
- Collaborate with insurance verification teams to ensure accurate coding and compliance
- Maintain detailed billing documentation and audit trails
- Generate monthly billing reports for leadership review
- Train junior staff on billing protocols and system usage
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical or commercial billing experience
- Proficiency in Epic, Meditech, or comparable billing software
- Expert knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and CMS regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) preferred
