Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims accurately using Epic EMR system
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for all services rendered
- Resolve billing discrepancies through effective communication with insurers and patients
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing documentation
- Generate monthly revenue reports for financial analysis
- Train staff on billing procedures and regulatory updates
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial insurance
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in Epic EMR and billing software (e.g., Athenahealth)
- Strong knowledge of CPT/HCPCS codes and ICD-10 diagnostics
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Associate degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
