Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account transfers.
- Greet customers warmly and provide professional, friendly service to enhance the branch experience.
- Open new checking and savings accounts, ensuring all required documentation is collected and processed correctly.
- Maintain accurate daily cash counts and reconcile the cash drawer to ensure zero discrepancies.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities to promote our suite of banking products, such as credit cards and investment services.
- Assist with the daily operations of the branch, including ATM maintenance and branch security protocols.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints efficiently, escalating complex issues to the branch manager when necessary.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required; some college coursework in finance or business is preferred.
- Previous experience in retail banking, cash handling, or customer service is highly desirable.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to handle large sums of money with extreme accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and operate standard office equipment and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and banking software applications.
- Fraud prevention awareness and adherence to strict compliance and security regulations.
