Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
- Cash checks and issue bank drafts in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
- Assist customers with account inquiries, balance inquiries, and explaining new products and services.
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Build relationships with customers by providing exceptional service and identifying sales opportunities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment at the teller line.
- Adhere to all federal and state banking regulations and security protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; previous teller experience is a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash and currency accurately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and bank software.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and credit check.
