Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with account inquiries, product information, and service requests.
- Identify and cross-sell appropriate bank products and services to meet customer needs.
- Verify check accuracy, balance cash drawers, and ensure compliance with all bank security and regulatory policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional teller line area.
- Handle routine account maintenance tasks, such as issuing money orders and cashier's checks.
- Collaborate with the branch management team to achieve daily sales and service goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; associate's degree or banking certification preferred.
- Previous cash handling and customer service experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidates.
- Strong numerical skills and the ability to perform complex calculations with speed and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Basic proficiency with Windows-based computer applications and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
