Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI algorithms to optimize energy consumption in data centers and cloud infrastructure
- Design machine learning models that predict and mitigate environmental impact of AI systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability metrics into AI development lifecycle
- Lead research initiatives on carbon footprint reduction in large-scale AI operations
- Create frameworks for measuring and reporting sustainability performance of AI solutions
- Partner with product teams to embed eco-friendly design principles into AI applications
- Stay current on emerging green AI technologies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in AI/ML development with focus on energy efficiency
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Strong understanding of sustainability principles and environmental science concepts
- Experience with data analysis tools for environmental impact assessment
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
- Track record of implementing innovative solutions in sustainable technology
- Relevant certifications in AI ethics or environmental management a plus
