This hybrid role offers the opportunity to influence policy, conduct bias audits, and develop transparency mechanisms for AI systems deployed across healthcare, finance, and infrastructure sectors. You'll collaborate with quantum computing researchers and neuro-symbolic AI developers to embed ethics-by-design principles.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI governance frameworks for autonomous decision systems
- Conduct algorithmic bias audits across machine learning pipelines
- Develop transparency protocols for explainable AI (XAI) implementations
- Advocate for ethical AI standards in regulatory policy discussions
- Lead cross-functional ethics reviews for generative AI deployments
- Create impact assessments for AI systems in high-stakes domains
- Mentor junior engineers on responsible AI development practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years in AI governance, compliance, or responsible tech roles
- Expertise in EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and IEEE Ethically Aligned Design
- Proficiency with fairness metrics (Disparate Impact, Demographic Parity)
- Experience conducting bias audits in production ML systems
- Strong background in regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA)
- Published work on AI ethics or technology policy preferred
