Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ethical AI governance frameworks aligned with IEEE 7001 and EU AI Act standards
- Conduct algorithmic bias audits across multimodal AI systems (vision, language, quantum)
- Lead cross-functional ethics committees with engineering, legal, and social science teams
- Design explainability protocols for black-box AI models using SHAP and LIME techniques
- Create impact assessments for autonomous systems in healthcare and critical infrastructure
- Establish whistleblower channels for ethical violations with anonymized reporting systems
- Advocate for ethical AI principles in policy discussions with congressional tech committees
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years AI governance experience
- Published research on algorithmic bias mitigation or AI interpretability techniques
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001)
- Proficiency in Python for bias detection tools and ethical simulation modeling
- Experience testifying before legislative bodies on AI policy matters
- Certification in Responsible AI from Stanford or MIT (preferred)
- Portfolio demonstrating implemented ethical AI solutions in production environments
