Apex Financial Services is a dynamic and fast-growing financial firm located in the heart of Los Angeles. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist to manage our accounts payable operations. As part of our finance department, you will ensure that all vendor invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner, while maintaining strict compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and process a high volume of invoices (A/P) for accuracy, completeness, and authorization.
- Code invoices to the correct general ledger accounts and cost centers.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies or questions in a timely manner.
- Prepare and issue payments via check, ACH, or wire transfer in accordance with payment terms.
- Assist with month-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
- Maintain and update the vendor master file and ensure up-to-date contact information.
- Assist in the preparation of annual 1099 filings and tax documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Oracle, or SAP).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas).
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
