Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and proprietary accounting software
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions with 99.7% accuracy
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies within 24 hours
- Assist in month-end closing procedures and financial report preparation
- Collaborate with auditors during quarterly compliance reviews
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial workflow efficiency
- Train new accounting staff on departmental procedures
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of hands-on accounting/bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- QuickBooks certification or demonstrated expertise
- Strong attention to detail with numerical accuracy verification
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in high-volume environments
- Proficient in US GAAP principles and tax compliance
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional client visits
