Responsibilities
- Perform daily data entry and ensure accurate maintenance of general ledgers.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process accounts payable invoices and prepare checks.
- Assist with accounts receivable collections and customer inquiries.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with the month-end close process.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or general accounting (1-2 years preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
