Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure timely invoice processing
- Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain accurate general ledger records
- Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis for departmental projects
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures with journal entries
- Collaborate with auditors during financial examinations and compliance reviews
- Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred)
- CPA or active pursuit of CPA certification strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations (California-specific experience a plus)
- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to reconcile complex financial data
- Proven experience with multi-state tax filings and compliance requirements
