Responsibilities
- Perform monthly and quarterly financial statement preparation for portfolio clients
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger entries
- Process weekend payroll and tax filings for select clients
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and variance analysis
- Prepare sales tax returns and ensure compliance with state regulations
- Support audit preparation by organizing financial documentation
- Implement process improvements for weekend accounting workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and IRS tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun)
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance
