Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all financial data.
- Accounts Management: Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and internal control procedures.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and perform variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Bank Reconciliation: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and financial reporting requirements.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Communication: Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
