Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles with emphasis on night shift processing efficiency
- Conduct variance analysis and budget vs. actual reporting for executive leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on audits, tax filings, and compliance documentation
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets
- Utilize ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) for real-time financial data analysis
- Mentor junior accounting staff during evening operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/MBA preferred
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with VBA/macros and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP)
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP compliance and regulatory reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to thrive in autonomous night shift environment with minimal supervision
- Experience with multi-currency transactions and international accounting standards
- Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines during off-peak hours
