Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the general ledger and accounts payable/receivable functions.
- Prepare, analyze, and report monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to mitigate financial risk.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and distribute financial reports to management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- CPA certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
