Job Summary
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage daily general ledger activities and perform account reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure timely filing.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are accurate and paid on time.
- Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies and improve financial controls.
- Collaborate with the finance team to optimize cash flow and budget management.
- Maintain organized financial documentation and filing systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of tax laws and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
