Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger accounting activities and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal review and client reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure full compliance with tax regulations.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure all invoices are processed timely.
- Assist external auditors during the annual audit process and maintain proper documentation.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience is preferred.
- CPA certification or CPA candidacy is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) are mandatory.
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions.
